Channelside Parking Information

The Channelside Parking Garage is open 24 hours a day. Visitors must take a ChipCoin and pay at the Automated Payment Machines located on the first floor by the elevators. (see detailed procedures below)
There is no free parking at anytime.

Please Follow These Rules When Visiting Our Parking Facilities

• Vehicle Height - Maximum height of vehicles allowed into the garage is 8'2". Vehicles exceeding this height or require more than one parking space are required to park in the "Oversized Vehicle Lot".

• The Channelside Parking Garage is open 24 hours a day. Cruise Parking is available while the ship is docked.

• Visitors must take a ChipCoin and pay at the Automated Payment Machines located on the first floor by the elevators. There is no free parking at anytime.

NEW TECHNOLOGY

Tampa Port Authority chose to utilize the most advanced technology available. This new technology will benefit every customer with faster exit times and modern equipment. The environment also benefits by using this technology as the ChipCoins are reusable, unlike conventional parking tickets that eventually end up in land fills. From the user’s perspective there is no difference between the ChipCoin and a conventional parking ticket other than the appearance and material.

All of the data printed on a paper ticket, such as when, where how you entered/exited the parking facility, and method of payment, will be encoded on the ChipCoin.

Retail Parking Rates
Visitor rates are $1.00 per ½ hour or any fraction thereof, with a $15.00 maximum daily charge. Rates are subject to change at any time; please refer to the current rates posted at the entrance of the garage. Event parking rates are $10.00 paid prior to returning to your vehicle.

Cruise Parking Rates
Cruise Parking Rates are $15.00 per day, paid in advance. Cruise Parking Rates are NOT subject to discounts.

Monthly Parking Rates
Monthly contract parking is available based on the Tenant Lease allocations. If you desire monthly parking please contact the parking garage office. To report any card problems (lost, damaged, not working etc.) please call the parking garage office during business hours, 7:00 AM to 2:00 AM, (813) 905-5072. Access Cards will automatically turn off should payment not be received prior to the 5th of every month. There is a $10.00 card replacement fee for lost cards and for reactivating cards that were deactivated for non-payment.

Discounted Parking
Retail visitors may visit any of the participating Channelside Bay Plaza businesses for discounted parking. Visitors will be required to make purchases and present the ChipCoin to the business in order to receive the discounted parking rate.

The garage operator cannot give discounted parking rates.

Parking can be paid for using cash, VISA, MasterCard, American Express, and Discover cards.

Legal Liability

The Tampa Port Authority and Ampco System Parking assume no responsibility for damage to or loss of vehicle or the contents thereof, while on the premises, from fire, theft, collision or any cause whatsoever.

STEP ONE

Entering the Garage
• Pull up to one of the entry lanes.
• Press the “Green Button”.
• Take the ChipCoin and proceed into the garage to park.
• Remember to park in designated parking spaces. Violators will be subject to tow and/or fine.
• Keep the ChipCoin with you at all times, as you will need it to pay for parking prior to returning to your vehicle.

STEP TWO

Paying for Parking
• Prior to returning to your vehicle, take your ChipCoin to one of five Automated Payment Machines.
• Insert the ChipCoin into the Automated Payment Machine.
• Insert cash or credit card into the Automated Payment Machine.
• Once the transaction is complete retrieve the ChipCoin, receipt and any change.

STEP THREE

Exiting the Garage
• Once you have paid for parking at the Automated Payment Machine, retrieve your ChipCoin, receipt and any change.
• To prevent additional charges proceed to your vehicle to exit the garage within 10 minutes.
• Once at the exit insert the ChipCoin into the Exit Verifier. The gate will automatically open.
• Thank you for parking at the Channelside Parking Garage!

Refund Information

Refund requests must be accompanied with the completed Refund Form (see form below) and a copy of your parking receipt. Refunds will not be processed without a copy of the receipt. PLEASE PRINT FULL NAME ON RECEIPT!
