Cargo

In collaboration with its terminal operator and steamship line partners, Port Tampa Bay is enhancing its longtime status as Florida's largest cargo tonnage port with expanded terminal facilities for handling containerized and bulk goods, as well as additional ocean carrier service offerings.

Expansion of Port Tampa Bay Container Terminal, refurbishment of the Richard E. Knight (REK) petroleum terminal complex, development of Port Redwing bulk-handling facilities, renovation of cruise terminals and significant enhancement to rail and roadway links are furthering the port's ability to connect Central Florida with worldwide markets.

Guided by a recently completed strategic plan update, Port Tampa Bay is bolstering its capabilities to ably serve multiple industry segments, capitalizing upon such strengths as its 5,000-acre footprint - the largest of any port in Florida.
